Delaware Rising FC COACHING Contract

THIS CONTRACT is between the signee hereinafter referred to as “COACH” and Delaware Rising FC (“DRFC”).

Thank you for your willingness to serve as a coach for Delaware Rising Football Club (DRFC), leading our teams to success. The purpose of this contract is to provide you with information about different club policies, and to obtain your agreement to these policies, while outlining your responsibilities as a COACH for DRFC and DRFC’s responsibilities to you.

1. DURATION OF AGREEMENT

1.1 The term of this agreement is for the DRFC 2024 summer season. 

2. PLAYER’S RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1 You agree to:

  • Develop and implement the training program for the squad;

  • Attend and supervise DRFC’s competitions and practices;

  • Assist in the selection, supervision, and development of players;

  • Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the values and mission of DRFC;

  • Comply with all rules and regulations as set forth by DRFC and the league(s) that DRFC is involved with, as well as the policies and procedures of DRFC all of which are subject to revision from time to time (collectively, “DRFC Policies”);

  • Authorize photograph, picture or likeness, and voice to appear in any documentary, promotion (including advertising and with sponsors), television, print, video, social media accounts, or radio coverage of DRFC, league or tournament, without compensation.

  • Return any DRFC property, if any, at the conclusion of this Agreement or upon request at any time.


    2.2 You do not have an employment relationship with DRFC, and you are not authorized to act in any way on behalf of DRFC in business matters, or to bind DRFC to any agreement. You are not authorized to speak publicly on behalf of DRFC for business matters, however, you are encouraged to speak publicly as a DRFC coach. In fact, we may obtain quotes regarding players, games, and the season to make public.


    3. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

    3.1 In the course of, or for the purposes of this agreement, the COACH will acquire or have access to and be entrusted with information that is confidential to DRFC. It is the COACH’S duty to observe such confidentiality. The restriction shall continue to apply after the termination of this agreement.

4. HEALTH AND SAFETY

4.1 While DRFC will, as far as practicable, ensure a safe and healthy environment, the responsibility for personal health, safety, and welfare while undertaking the duties of this agreement rests with the COACH. The COACH should ensure that the duties are conducted taking due care of health, safety, and welfare without putting at risk the health, safety, and welfare of himself, players of DRFC, and members of the public.

5. DRFC’S RESPONSIBILITIES

5.1 DRFC agrees to:

  • support every COACH in any manner possible upon request, if such request is deemed necessary and feasible by DRFC. Requests are able to be denied/accepted at DRFC’s discretion.

  • provide efficient equipment to run training sessions;

  • provide game film;

  • provide medical personnel at home games;

  • advocate for the safety, development, and future of every COACH and players, with their interest in mind;

  • support every COACH and players in any manner possible upon request, if such request is deemed necessary and feasible by DRFC. Requests are able to be denied/accepted at DRFC’s discretion.

6. TERMINATION

6.1 DRFC reserves the right to terminate this Contract at any time should: (1) COACH breaches any term or condition of this Agreement or violates DRFC Policy, or federal, state or local law; (2) The Club dissolves; or (3) at DRFC’s sole discretion. In the event that DRFC terminates this Agreement pursuant to (1), above, DRFC agrees to reimburse COACH for any approved expenses that are non-refundable.

6.2 The COACH reserves the right to terminate this Contract at any time should: (1) DRFC breaches any term or condition of this Agreement or violates any federal, state or local law; or (2) the Club dissolves.

7. SEVERABILITY

7.1 COACH and DRFC agree that each provision of this Contract is severable and if any provision is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction or administrative agency to be illegal or invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected and the illegal or invalid provisions shall be deemed not to be a part of this Contract. By your signature below, you agree to release and waive any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action against DRFC, its board, officers, players, coaches, volunteers, and/or agents that arise from or are connected with the services to be performed hereunder.

Please acknowledge that you have read this Agreement, that you understand the terms it contains, and that you agree to abide by them as a condition of your time with DRFC.
