Delaware Rising FC PLAYER Contract

This CONTRACT is between the signee hereinafter referred to as “PLAYER” and Delaware Rising FC (“DRFC”).

Thank you for your willingness to represent Delaware Rising Football Club (DRFC) on the field and in public. The purpose of this contract is to provide you with information about different club policies and to obtain your agreement to these policies while outlining your responsibilities as a PLAYER for DRFC and DRFC’s responsibilities to you.

1. DURATION OF AGREEMENT

1.1 The term of this agreement is for the DRFC 2025 summer season. 

2. PLAYER’S RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1 You agree to:

  • attend all training sessions, play the games scheduled for the Club’s team during the season, play all exhibition games scheduled by the Club during and prior to the scheduled season to the best of your ability;

  • pay the club fees ($240 for returning players, $305 for new players: this includes your uniforms (1 new for returners, 2 new for new players), training costs, league fees, etc.)

  • to report, at the time and place fixed by the Club, in good physical condition and keep themselves, throughout the entire season, in good physical condition;

  • report all serious or disabling injuries sustained in scheduled games or practices to the Club as soon as you are reasonably able to report them;

  • to give your best services, as well as loyalty to the Club;

  • to conduct yourself on and off the field according to the highest standard of honesty, morality, fair play, and sportsmanship;

  • comply with all rules and regulations as set forth by DRFC and the league(s) that DRFC is involved with, as well as the policies and procedures of DRFC all of which are subject to revision from time to time;

  • authorize photograph, picture or likeness, and voice to appear in any documentary, promotion (including advertising and with sponsors), television, print, video, social media accounts or radio coverage of DRFC, league or tournament, without compensation;

3. HEALTH AND SAFETY

3.1 DRFC will, as far as practicable, ensure a safe and healthy environment, the responsibility for personal health, safety, and welfare while undertaking the duties of this agreement rests with the Coaches. The DRFC Coaches will ensure that the duties are conducted taking due care of health, safety, and welfare without putting at risk the health, safety, and welfare of themselves, PLAYERs of DRFC, and members of the public. 

4. DRFC’S RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 The Club agrees to:

  • create a unique, exciting, and competitive lower-league soccer experience that champions its players, fans, and community;

  • provide developmental opportunities through scheduled practices and games;

  • provide a dedicated coaching staff;

  • provide jerseys and training gear to new players;

  • advocate for the safety, development, and future of players, with their interest in mind;

  • support players in any manner possible upon request, if such request is deemed necessary and feasible by DRFC. Requests are able to be denied/accepted at DRFC’s discretion.

5. TERMINATION

5.1 DRFC reserves the right to terminate this Contract at any time should: (1) PLAYER breach any term or condition of this Agreement or violates DRFC Policy, or federal, state or local law; (2) The Club dissolves; or (3) at DRFC’s sole discretion.

6. SEVERABILITY

6.1 PLAYER and DRFC agree that each provision of this Contract is severable and if any provision is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction or administrative agency to be illegal or invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected and the illegal or invalid provisions shall be deemed not to be a part of this Contract.

By your signature below, you agree to release and waive any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action against DRFC, its board, officers, players, coaches, volunteers, and/or agents that arise from or are connected with the services to be performed hereunder.

Please acknowledge that you have read this Agreement, that you understand the terms it contains, and that you agree to abide by them as a condition of your time with DRFC.
